Ingredients

  • 3 cups oatmeal
  • 3 cups of milk
  • 1/4 cup cane sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • salt
  • fruit, chocolate chips, nuts - to taste

Cooking guidelines

Pour water, milk, sugar, oatmeal and a pinch of salt into a saucepan. Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer, stirring constantly, for about 3 minutes.

Then remove the saucepan from the heat and leave the porridge to cool. Add fruit, chocolate or nuts to individual bowls of porridge to taste and serve.
