Ingredients

  • #For vanilla bean cake donuts#
  • Unsalted butter - 2 tablespoons. (It has to be melted and cooled)
  • Large eggs - 2 nos.
  • Pure vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon.
  • Buttermilk - 3/4 cup.
  • Kosher salt - 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Vanilla bean powder - 1 teaspoon. (Ground)
  • Baking powder - 2 teaspoons.
  • Granulated sugar - 3/4 cup.
  • All-purpose flour - 2 cups.
  • #For the vanilla glaze and cereal topping#
  • Breakfast cereal of your preference - 1 cup.
  • Pure vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon.
  • Milk - 1 to 4 tablespoons.
  • Confectioners sugar - 1 cup.

Cooking guidelines

Oven must be preheated to 425 Degree Fahrenheit and for preparing the donut pan, cooking spray needs to be sprayed on each donut cavity generously. Set aside.

1 teaspoon vanilla bean powder (ground), 2 teaspoons baking powder, 3/4 cup granulated sugar and 2 cups of all purpose flour should be combined in a medium bowl and they must be whisked properly to combine well.

Melted unsalted butter, eggs, pure vanilla extract and buttermilk have to be whisked together in a large bowl to combine properly.

and a rubber spatula needs to be used for folding properly and make sure that they are well incorporated)

The batter has to be transferred to a paper piping bag and each donut cavity should be filled up to half full.

It needs to be baked in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes and a butter knife has to be used for flipping the donuts on their pan. (Make sure that the exposed part touches the pan)

It should be cooled in the pan on a wire rack for 5 minutes and then, transferred into the pan to make the cooling process complete.

The donuts have to be glazed when they reach the room temperature. Vanilla glaze and cereal topping

The confectioners sugar, pure vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon milk should be combined in a medium bowl and a rubber spatula needs to be used for stirring the milk into the sugar. (Make sure that the sugar is dissolved fully and if you feel that sugar is clumping together, you need to add more milk)

After getting a paste-like texture, the donut top has to be dipped in the glaze and cereal should be sprinkled in a fast manner.

You have to continue this process for glazing all donuts.
