Ingredients

  • Flour – 1cup.
  • Eggs – 6 nos.
  • Sugar – 3- 1/2 cups.
  • Butter or margarine – 3/4 cup.
  • Vanilla – 1 teaspoon.
  • Uncooked pie crusts – 2 nos. (You need to allow them thawing if using frozen)
  • Butter milk- 2 cups.
  • You also have to take 1/4 cup for divided use.

Cooking guidelines

-- -- Take a large bowl. -- Flour and sugar must be combined in the bowl. -- Set aside. -- Then, the butter should be melted. -- Add it to the mixture of sugar and flour. -- Eggs should be added one at a time. (You have to make sure that everything is combined properly). -- Buttermilk and vanilla should be mixed in. -- The next step is to dust the berries with 1/2 cup flour. -- Now, 1 cup of dusted berries need to be sprinkled in each pie crust. -- The filling should be poured in an even manner over the berries in the pie crusts. -- When you find the berried are coming on top of the filling, you must push them down into the filling using a wooden spoon. -- Each pie should be placed on a cookie sheet. -- Then, you have to put in the oven for 25 minutes. -- Rotate the pies. -- Bake for another 25 minutes. (You can stop when the filling turns golden brown and set in the centre). -- Now, you can remove it from the oven. -- Cool on rack. -- You can keep the pies in the refrigerator for an hour or so before serving.
