Ingredients

  • Cooking apple – 750 grams (It should be cored, peeled and chopped).
  • Raisins – 250 grams.
  • Cider vinegar – 350 ml.
  • Ripe tomato – 1 kg. (They must be peeled and chopped).
  • Light muscovado sugar – 375 grams.
  • Green pepper – 1 no. (It should be deseeded and chopped).
  • Chopped onion – 250 grams.
  • Salt – 2 teaspoons.
  • Ground ginger – 1/2 teaspoon.

Cooking guidelines

The heat must be kept at a medium level.

Now, you have to place all the ingredients in the pan.

You need to stir occasionally and stop when the sugar is dissolved.

Then, the mixture must be boiled uncovered for about 45 to 50 minutes.

You must stop when the fruit becomes tender and mixture gets thickened.

Now, you have to take it out from the heat and set aside to cool.

The next step is to transfer the mixture to a sterilized jar.

Seal it in proper manner.

You can take it out whenever needed. (It is always advisable to keep sealed it for a few weeks to make the taste better)
