Ingredients

  • Light brown sugar – 1/3 cup.
  • Baking soda- 1 teaspoon.
  • All purpose flour – 1 2/3 cups.
  • Granulated sugar – 1 cup.
  • Ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon.
  • Ground cloves – 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Vegetable oil – 1/3 cup.
  • Chopped toasted walnuts or pecans – 1/2 cup. (Optional)
  • Ground nutmeg- 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Pumpkin puree – 10 ounces.

Cooking guidelines

Take a large loaf pan (9 inches/ 5 inches).

It should be sprayed with cooking spray.

Take a large bowl.

Place flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon into the bowl.

Combine these ingredients properly.

You must take another bowl.

Place vegetable oil, pumpkin puree and walnuts or pecans into the bowl.

All these ingredients must be mixed well.

The next step is to combine all the ingredients together and stir well until turn smooth. (Make sure that it is a thick batter).

Spoon onto loaf pan.

Then, you have to lightly smooth out the top with a spatula.

The next step is to bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. (You need to stop when the cake tester comes out dry and clean).

Cool thoroughly.
