Ingredients

  • 250 ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 250 ml of white wine
  • 2 tablespoons dried oregano
  • 2-3 teaspoons of dried crushed chilli
  • garlic, finely chopped 12 cloves
  • salt and freshly ground pepper
  • stem-free artichokes
  • half a lime

Cooking guidelines

Preheat the oven to 260 ° C. In a bowl, mix the herbs oil with wine, oregano, chilli flakes, garlic, salt and pepper and set aside.

Cut off the top of the artichoke (2.5 cm) and gently pull the leaves apart to open the head. Place the artichokes in a small baking pan, the cut side up and pour the oil mixture over each of them, making sure that it gets between all the leaves. Cover the artichokes and bake for 45 minutes.

Then uncover the pan and bake for about another 30 minutes until the vegetables are browned and softened.

Finished artichokes leave for 10 minutes to cool down and then you can serve it with a little bit of lime juice.
