Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Non-stick cooking oil spray

Cooking guidelines

Preheat your waffle iron.

Using a hand mixer, beat the eggs in a large bowl until they form a foamy, fluffy consistency. Beat in the sugar and salt. Sift the flour, mix it thoroughly with the baking powder and gradually beat the dry ingredients into the egg mixture, alternating with splashes of milk and vegetable oil, until you get a smooth batter. Take care not to over-mix the batter. Flavor with vanilla extract.

Spray the preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking oil spray.

Pour the batter onto the heated waffle iron and allow it to bake until golden brown in color and crisp on the surface.

Serve immediately with a topping of your choice.
