Pour lukewarm water over the oatmeal and let it swell thoroughly. In the meantime, briefly fry the finely chopped spring onions in oil and set them aside. Add the beaten eggs, the crushed garlic, the cooled spring onions, the parsley and finally the breadcrumbs.
Season the mixture to taste with salt, oregano and pepper and mix thoroughly again. Form small meatballs and fry them in hot oil on both sides until golden brown. Place the fried ones on paper towels to get rid of excess fat.
Serve the finished meatballs immediately with your choice of side dish.
