Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • green part of small leeks, cut into thin strips
  • 1-2 slices of garlic, sliced
  • 800 ml chicken broth
  • 500 g frozen peas
  • salt and white pepper
  • 5 slices of English bacon
  • Garlic croutons:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste or 1 clove garlic rubbed with salt
  • 100 g toast bread

Cooking guidelines

In a pot, fry the onion in butter until golden. Then add the garlic and the green part of the leek, fry everything until soft. Put chicken broth and cook. Finally add the frozen peas.

Once the peas are soft, mix the soup. Put salt and pepper.

Prepare croutons, which we fry in the oven until golden. Melt the butter in a pan and dissolve the garlic paste, which is finally mixed with the croutons. Serve soup with fried bacon and croutons.
