Ingredients

  • #For the batter#
  • Baking powder – 1 dessertspoon
  • Slat – 1 pinch
  • Plain flour – 100 grams.
  • Water – 125 ml.
  • Sesame oil – 1 teaspoon.
  • Oil – For drying requirements.
  • #For the chicken#
  • White pepper – 1 large pinch.
  • Corn flour – 5 tablespoons.
  • Chicken breasts – 4 nos. (They should be cut into 2cm cubes).

Cooking guidelines

First of all, you need to mix together salt, baking powder and plain flour together.

Sesame oil should be drizzled in.

Water must be added in a gradual manner.

You have to keep on whisking in a constant manner until you get a really smooth batter. (You have to make sure that the consistency is pretty similar to the cream).

Set aside for at least 30 minutes.

You need to fill a deep pan or you can work with oil and it should be slowly heated to 375 Degree Fahrenheit.

Take a large shallow dish.

White pepper and corn flour must be mixed together.

The chicken needs to be dusted in the seasoned cornflour.

Then, it should be dipped in the batter. (You must make sure that coating is even).

The next step is to transfer to the hot oil for 4 to 5 minutes. (Make sure that chicken turns golden and it must not be pink in the centre).

A slotted spoon has to be used to scoop out.

Drain on kitchen towels.

The dish is ready to serve and you can use sweet and sour sauce with it.
